This phrase is a short form of '-는/은/ㄴ 것으로 = -는/은/ㄴ 거로': used for the present or upcoming action 오늘 뭐 할까? 음, 오늘은 노래방에서 노래하는 걸로. ('하자' is skipped) 오늘은 노래방에 가는 걸로 대신하고 내일 음악회 보러 가자. 은/ㄴ 것으로 = 은/ㄴ 거로: used for the completed action 어제 노래방에 같이 간 걸로 나 약속 지켰다. 또 딴 얘기하면 안 돼.
