The difference between 'cramp' and 'spasm'? It seems correct to write 'I get a cramp in the leg'. or 'My leg has cramp.' Is it the same with 'spasm'? Is there any difference between 'cramp' and 'spasm'?

"I have a cramp in my leg" is probably what most people would say. A cramp is when the muscle tightens and won't release. I think a spasm is when the muscle is twitching involuntarily. I'm not exactly sure :).

Cramps - contractions of muscles, usually in the waist, arms or legs. Spasms - something more serious.
