The words look pretty similar and have similar definitions but I think venture is more specific than adventure.
I see the word venture more when talking about business. Like when someone starts a new business they can say they have a "business venture".
Adventure is more general I'd say. You can wake up today and tell your friend "we're going on an adventure today" and that maybe just means we are going to go somewhere and do something but you don't exactly have plans.
TLDR: I would just go with using adventure more often. Venture is a pretty advanced word that you don't hear too often

Adventure is an exciting or dangerous experience.
Hiking the mountains with friends is a fun adventure.
I like to watch adventure films like Indiana Jones.
Venture is a new activity or project that typically involves risk.
Our company is doing a joint venture with XYZ company.
Venture is also used as a verb, always followed by a preposition.
It will be strange to venture out after the quarantine is lifted.

If you search for a proper translation, you'll see adventure as an experience, and venture as a place, a project, a start-up
