What does "writ large" mean hear? I looked up the meaning and understand the general usage of it, but don't get what it means in the following sentence. "Nature, writ large, he suggests, is hard to analyse." Thank you so much for your help in advance.

I agree with John. In this case it means, "Signified, expressed, or embodied in a greater or more prominent magnitude or degree: "The man was no more than the boy writ large" (George Eliot)." https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/writ+large

Without more context, this is an ambiguous use of “writ large.” It could mean “as a whole system.” For example, while it is possible to analyze isolated aspects of nature, it is very difficult to analyze nature AS A WHOLE SYSTEM because it is so complex.
