The phrase "For example" can it be used after the example? I always thought the phrase "For example" was supposed to be used before the example but sometimes I see it after the example? Like in this, "Executing pieces of an insertion order programmatically is a good idea as a means to secure coveted inventory in times of high demand -- like during the holidays or specific content windows, for example. " Can anyone explain why?

-- "for example, during the holidays or specific content windows. " Also works. It's clear from the context that the 'for example' references what preceded it. English is not as lenient in word order as languages that have a lot of declension, 'for example' 'The dog chased the rabbit' requires this word order to make sense (unless for comedic purposes) but there is still quite a lot of flexibility.
