Emphasizing Possession in Turkish (Evimize, Bizim eve)
I came across a sentence a while ago where instead of 'bizim evimize', "bizim eve" (to our house) was used.
Can a word following a possessive pronoun be written without a possessive suffix? For example bizim ev or bizim mahalle.
I've heard that if a possessive suffix is used (bizim evimiz), there is too much emphasis on the fact that the house is ours, and sounds weird. Bizim ev or just evimiz sounds more natural. Is this the only reason, and are there cases where you can't write a word without a possessive suffix?
Any help would be appreciated :)

I think when you use it for "a human that we possess like our friends, our children, our teacher", it is more correct without the pronoun and with the suffix, in general. As in "We would like to travel with our child" ->Çocuğumuzla seyahat etmek istiyoruz. We wouldn't say "Bizim çocukla seyahat etmek istiyoruz." (Although it would still be ok in an informal conversation, kind of slang) We would also not say "bizim çocuğumuzla" in this case, since there would be too much emphasis on the child is ours.
Other than that, we use both the pronoun and the suffix together especially when we point to something and say "this is our blabla". For instance you wouldn't say "this is apartment", right? Correct sentence would be "this is our apartment", and it is same in turkish: "Bu bizim evimiz".

If you just use "ev", you can't tell some that is your house. But if you use it like "evimiz" without using "bizim", the person you are talking can understand you. "Bizim ev", "Bizim evimiz" you can use both of them in a daily conversation. But "Bizim evimiz" is can also be used for formal conversations.
