i don't know which word in Thai that you want. mai can be ใหม่(new) ไหม(Question/silk) ไหม้(burn) ไม่(not) ไม้(wood)

It have many meaning. we can write Mai in different character and different sound maybe in the same word but diferrent sound as well as diferent meaning. same sound --> Mai = no (ไม่), burn (ไหม้) and another meaning like the upper comment ^^
