Hello ! I want to know the meaning of "middle child". Does "middle"mean the age of the child ?Thanks

"middle child means ,that the child is not the oldest nor the youngest .(has an older sibling and a younger sibling). There is also a syndrome call MIDDLE CHILD  SYNDROME .
