Whats the difference between adroit and adept?

They are very similar in meaning. Use "adroit" to describe a feat of dexterity or some physical attribute, especially one that involves a level of acquired skill, such as a fencer or a juggler. Use "adept" to suggest a level of acquired skill, but one that might not necessarily involve physical dexterity; for instance, a scientist with a deep knowledge of his field, or a particularly profound philosopher or poet.
