Sweet and Sour Pork
锅包肉
Sweet and sour pork is a special delicious meal in Northeastern China made from pork loin. Before I visited Haerbing, a local friend told me the common fried sweet and sour pork isn't good, only the old style is. This was my first time hearing that there were two different styles. Before when I ate it in a Beijing restaurant, it tasted very sweet, oily, and heavily of tomato sauce. It looked beautiful, but because it was too heavy, I didn't want to eat more than two pieces of it.
In a Haerbing restaurant, the menu only showed the old style. It tasted crisp, light, sweet and sour, and there was no tomato sauce and less oil. It was much better than I ate before. I could have eaten a lot more.
锅包肉是中国东北的特色美食,由猪里脊制作而成。在我去哈尔滨之前,有个当地的朋友告诉我,一般的锅包肉不好吃, 只有老式锅包肉吃起来美味。这是我第一次听说有两种风格的锅包肉。
我以前在北京的餐厅吃过,吃起来很甜、油腻、重重的番茄酱味,但是看起来很漂亮。因为太腻了,吃了两片我就不想吃了。
在哈尔滨的餐厅,菜单上展示了老式锅包肉,而且只有一种,它吃起来脆脆的,酸甜可口,没有番茄酱,少油。这比我以前吃的好吃很多。我可以吃很多。
