Meaning of similar questions Good day! I would like to better understand the differences of asking: だれか　てつだって　くれませんか？ and asking: だれが　わたしを　てつだって　くれますか？ When is each more appropriate to be used? What is the main difference of them? Thank you so much in advance!

I don't want my english to fade away! I have always considered myself a native english speaker just because I was borned in the U.S. and lived there for some years, but most of my life I have been living in Mexico. (Is it time I consider myself only a spanish speaker?) I am currently studying college because it is way cheaper over here, and because most of my family is on this side of the river. I also work at home with what is called around here "green-goes" so I thought my english exposure was somehow not being that much limited. Plus I live 3 hours away from the border. Anyhow I have just not forgotten how the other day I was giving some english advice here and a girl named Nicole kindly told me I had made an awkward sentence. I could not believe it, but she was right! (In fact you can see the whole thread here: http://www.italki.com/question/303870) I love spanish, Mexico and latin america as a whole, but I don't want to forget english, at all! (I don't think anyone would allow that) So I decided to let this out of my system through this notebook entry, write it down just as it comes out of me, no grammar or spelling check, so while I'm at it, see if I made any mistakes; I guess this will either calm me down a bit, or increase my paranoia... (Fingers crossed...)

Help me decide: Russian or Japanese?

I’d like to hear your opinion on my dilemma:

 

I have to work with some Japanese clients at work, who don’t speak any Spanish or English, there is nobody to deal them and given my few Japanese knowledge I have to handle them. And it is a true pleasure, but it is also complicated sometimes, because one single wrong word and they might get seriously offended. Plus the Japanese they use with me is very formal, and it makes it hard to find a translation. I do love Japan, its culture and its language, don’t get me wrong.

 

I have noticed Japanese people are very shy or closed minded or afraid of us, (at least in italki.com) I say this because I write and write to them (and even though they’re learning English or Spanish) and it is hard for me to obtain a serious constant answer to get our learning going…

 

Regarding Russian: I love it, unfortunately I won’t be using it anytime soon (maybe on the world soccer tournament in Russia 2018… though my attendance is not yet confirmed entirely) and the Russians in italki.com are very open, they have sent some invitations to me, I don’t have to be “chasing” them like the Japanese.

 

Last topics to consider:
- Difficulty of both is irrelevant, both use different alphabets than roman, and none of them will be easy, so difficulty has no importance to me.
- I am much better at Japanese than Russian, although I am pretty much a noob in Japanese.
- We do have Russian clients at work, but my Russian workmates can currently cover the demand pretty well.

What would you do?

Dame un consejo ¿Ruso o Japonés? - Help me ¿Russian or Japanese?

Quisiera escuchar tu opinión de mi dilema:

 

En el trabajo tengo que convivir con algunos clientes japoneses que no hablan nada de español ni inglés, no hay nadie que lidie con ellos y debido a mis pocos conocimientos de japonés soy yo quien debe atenderlos. Y es un verdadero gusto, pero a veces es complicado; porque una palabra en falso y pueden ofenderse gravemente. Además el japonés que usan conmigo es demasiado formal y no encuentro traducción fácilmente. A mí me encanta el idioma y la cultura japonesa.

 

Yo he visto que los japoneses son muy reservados (al menos en italki.com) porque les escribo y escribo (a pesar de que quieren aprender japonés o español) y es difícil obtener una respuesta seria o constante para poner el aprendizaje en marcha.

 

Respecto al Ruso: me fascina, pero lamentablemente no le daré un uso próximamente (quizás solo el mundial de futbol en Rusia 2018... pero no está confirmada completamente mi asistencia) y los Rusos de italki.com son muy abiertos, y me han mandado algunas solicitudes a mí, no tengo que andar buscándolos (como a los japoneses).

 

Últimos temas para considerar:
- La dificultad de ambos me es irrelevante, ambos tienen alfabetos diferentes al romano y ninguno será sencillo así que no tiene importancia.
- Soy mucho más diestro en japonés que en ruso, pero muy poco diestro en japonés en general.
- También tenemos clientes rusos en la empresa, pero mis compañeros rusos que alcanzan a cubrir la demanda al día de hoy.

Difference between phrases Can anyone explain what the difference is between these two phrases? かれ は とても かなしんで います。 (He is very sad) 彼 は とても 悲しいです。 (He is very sad) What difference does it make to add "inde imasu"? Thanks!

What does お世話になっております mean? I received it in a work related e-mail. Seems to be a greeting. But I cannot figure out what the "debt" is referring to. Could anyone completely sure of what it means let me know? Thanks,
