I have had the pleasure of working with Teacher Victoria for over 9 months. Around the start of my Tagalog journey, I happened to stumble upon her amazing intro video. Right away I knew from the way she expressed herself through her energy, creativity, and passion for teaching Tagalog that it was an absolute must for me to see if she was a fit. After completing our first lesson, there was no question at all on who I wanted to invest my time and energy with. Over the course of my time with Victoria, she has taught me so much about Tagalog and Filipino culture. Whether it be analyzing trendy songs, watching YT videos, listening to her podcasts, or just having fun light-hearted chats I have gained so much knowledge and insight that I cannot thank her enough for all she has given me. Teacher Victoria I believe is one of the best teachers on italki and I highly recommend her if you would like to learn from someone who is so kind, supportive, dedicated, and an absolute joy to work with.

Vicky is honestly my favorite language teacher I’ve ever had 🧡 I can definitely feel how much effort she puts into our classes and she is very present while I share stories. I also appreciate how many examples she gives me for new grammar/vocab so that I fully understand. In the short amount of time I’ve been taking classes with Vicky, I’ve already noticed so much progress in my Tagalog! ✨

One thing that I very much appreciate about Victoria's lessons is that she really genuinely enjoys listening to the stories you want to tell. Every lesson of hers, you'll always have many opportunities to talk about something fun and interesting going on in your life. In every lesson of hers, I always walk away with a smile and of course learn something new about Tagalog and Filipino culture.

Another great lesson with Vicky! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about what we did for Valentine's Day and about my toddler refusing to go to bed on time, ha, and then we went over some Tagalog sentences I'd written for homework. Maraming salamat!

I am so happy to be taking classes with Victoria. She is always so patient, kind, and also provides great explanations and material that we structure our conversations around. I am excited to take more classes with her in the future!
