The lesson today was excellent. We studied different accents and grammatical ways of speaking. This helped me understand why certain characters in shows and movies speak the way they do and gave some cultural awareness as to why it reflects different time periods and geography in addition to personality/character. I really appreciate the detailed explanation and examples.

The lesson went very well. I was able to bring reading material that was troubling me and she reviewed it with me, giving me explanations both in English and Japanese. It was good listening practice, while we talked casually while going over grammar points I needed help with. Overtime I think I will feel encouraged to speak more and more in my target language.
