My lessons are conducted mainly in Japanese. I believe that hearing, speaking, and using the language you are learning is one of the most effective ways to truly acquire it. You do not need to understand 100% during the lesson. If there are words, grammar points, or expressions you did not understand, I will send you detailed explanations and practice exercises in English after the lesson. You also do not need perfect understanding before moving forward. If you understand around 60–70%, that is often enough to take the next step. By hearing and using the same expressions again and again, there will be moments when you suddenly think, “Oh! Now I get it.” Speak and hear lots of Japanese during the lesson, then review what was difficult afterward. Let’s gradually turn the Japanese you “know” into Japanese you can actually use.

She had a lot of good feedback for how to improve my answers to exam questions, and she was also interesting to talk to casually as well.

I was very nervous in the beginning as I haven't spoken Japanese in a while, but Aya-sensei is very patient and it was easy for me to understand and follow! I had a great time, it was super fun!
