要是你能說中文的話，我覺得老師是更好的選擇。跟老師之間不會有使用英語學習時，隔了另一種語文的障礙。記得之前跟兩位不太會說英文的日語老師學習，很難問到文化之間的一些細節。現在能與老師用國語溝通，能使我明白日語和中文的一些共通點。 I study Japanese with teacher in Mandarin, she is knowledgeable, and I can tell that she’s passionate with a culture. I can ask her cultural nuances, and she is able to explain them to me. I enjoy learning from someone who picked up the Language by herself.

I have had quite a few teachers now. Yun is certainly among the best I have had!

I just had a trial lesson with Yun, and it was awesome! Before the lesson, Yun checked in to see where I was with my Japanese learning and what materials I was using. She even opened up some timeslots to fit my goals and schedule. I wanted a non-native speaker because they usually teach more methodically. Most people are aiming to pass the JLPT or planning to study in Japan, but I just wanted to focus on conversational skills since I'm going there for a working holiday. Yun totally got that and quickly switched to work-related stuff. In the lesson, she explained polite speech and grammar in a simple way. Instead of reading through the materials and having me repeat after her, she added useful notes and sent them to me after the lesson. Her accent was pretty neutral, and with her solid understanding of Japanese, it has made my learning much more efficient. Overall, Yun's approach was personalized and effective. I enjoyed the lesson and felt it was productive. Highly recommend :) !
