I specialize in teaching modern and ancient Greek, blending linguistic precision with philosophical depth. Graduating with honors from the University of Athens (philosophy) and earning an MS at the University of Paris (Aristotle), I bridge language and classical thought.
With 12+ years teaching Greek abroad (Europe, Japan, Argentina), I adapt to diverse learners—whether you’re mastering basics or exploring Hellenic philosophy. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish (Dutch basics), I make lessons culturally rich and personally tailored.

The center of each class for me is the students and a good class is a class where communication is established and flows naturally. I always strive to understand the student's needs.
As a teacher, I am organized, dynamic, and patient. What you can expect from me is a clear methodology for acquiring the grammar with clear explanations and good examples each time and a good structure of the lesson where things come one after the other and not randomly. I like building knowledge in blocks and always adding on top of the already-known material.
My golden rule for language acquisition is revision!レッスン形式・教え方
The material is adapted to the student's level and provided each time. The students will be getting all the necessary material in the form of PDFs.
Extra material/homework and audio are also provided.
The duration of each lesson is 55 minutes for the 60min class and 40min for the 45min class.
The lesson will either start 5 min later or finish 5 min earlier (my lessons are consequtives).教材

I started trying to learn Greek on my own about six months ago. After a few months I decided I could use some help, so I scheduled a lesson with Zaneta. I have been taking regular lessons with her ever since, and I have only one regret: that I did not start sooner. Zaneta’s teaching style makes learning Greek both fun and challenging at the same time. She is always upbeat, encouraging and patient, and I always look forward to my next lesson with her. We are already having simple, basic conversations, which I would not have believed possible six months ago. She motivates me to want to continue learning this beautiful language. Do yourself a favor and book a lesson!
