I had a trial lesson with Joe today. He was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. He knows exactly what he's doing as a teacher and he gave very detailed, personalized feedback on my IELTS essay. I've already booked an actual one-hour lesson with him. If you're looking for a seasoned teacher and a real ex-IELTS examiner, JOE IS THE ONE.

무엇보다도 진지하게 시험관처럼 아이엘츠 스피킹에 초점을 맞춰서 30분수업을 너무 잘 해주셔서 또 수업듣고 싶고, 이후에 피드백이나 여러가지면에서 정확하게 피드백 받을 수 있어서 좋았습니다.

I spent 8 hours in Joe’s classes. He’s a fantastic teacher. I practised IELTS with him, especially the speaking and writing part. Joe asked your plans and prepared well before classes. He would send you the materials you need in advance. As a former IELTS examiner, he gave really useful advices, such as the structure and the words. He pointed out my mistakes both in grammar and vocabulary, and told me how to improve them. He encouraged me a lot. Highly recommend Joe if you are preparing for the IELTS.

I first studied with Joe two years ago when I was preparing for my IELTS exam, and he helped me a lot with both speaking and writing. Now that I am an English teacher myself, I have chosen to come back to him to further improve my own English skills. Joe is incredibly professional, patient and friendly. What I appreciate most is how he guides you to express your ideas more clearly and naturally, rather than simply giving you the answers. I was also genuinely touched that he had kept all my learning materials even after such a long break. It is clear that he really cares about his students and their progress. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their English!

My speaking score improved from 5.5 at the end of July to 6 in two separate August exams. This progress would not have been possible without Joe’s constant encouragement and systematic teaching. The targeted vocabulary lessons have greatly helped me build my expressive skills. I used to rely on memorising templates to tackle Part 2. But with this outstanding teacher, I’ve learned how to organise my thoughts and express myself naturally in English. This kind of growth is something I haven’t gained from other tutors. Learning with him/her never disappoints.
