Manon is a wonderful teacher! Her lessons are always interesting, enjoyable, and well-prepared. We've been studying together for over six months, and I can really see how much I've improved. I started with almost no French, and now I can actually have conversations, which feels amazing :) We spend a lot of time speaking during our lessons, and Manon always brings interesting topics, texts, and activities to discuss. She creates a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where it's easy to practice and learn without feeling nervous about making mistakes. I always look forward to our lessons and would happily recommend Manon to anyone who wants to learn French!

If we're lucky, we all have memories of our favorite teacher or teachers who we fondly remember from our childhood. That was true for me until I met Manon. I am studying with my favorite teacher now. I've been studying with her once a week for nearly a year and cannot recommend her enough. She has never missed a lesson, is always prepared but flexible, is thoughtful, encouraging, kind, very smart, talented, and simply a lovely human being to spend an hour with and learn from. Recently, I had the incredible experience of meeting a French family in my own Los Angeles neighborhood with whom I was able to speak for roughly ten minutes entirely in French. I can't tell you the joy that gave me. That's the result of Manon's work. She will bring you joy.

Manon is the type of teacher who immediately puts you at ease inspiring you to step out of your shell and speak with confidence. Engaging, curious, well-informed, she keeps up with events and a variety of subjects, making it easy to have discussions on just about anything putting that vocabulary to good use. She is charismatic, thoughtful and emotionally intelligent, with an intuitive sense of how to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, keep the conversation spontaneous, challenging you to stretch your vocabulary, refine phrasing, and express yourself more comfortably in French, even when you’re struggling to articulate a nuance. Her pointed feedback and followup gently nudge you to learn from your inevitable errors and omissions. I recommend Manon without hesitation to anyone looking to advance their French to through conversation, even at the risk of creating more competition for her time, driving up her rates, and making it harder for me to book my own lessons!
