Welcome to my profile! I am happy you found me! My name is Yiannis and I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Ever since I was little, my favorite school subjects were always modern and ancient Greek. I think I got this from my grandmother, who truly loves the Greek language. And rightly so... if I had to be proud of only one thing about Greece, it would be our language; it is ancient, historic, melodious and rich in meanings. As soon as I finished school, I enrolled at the Ionian University to study languages and translation. Apart from English, I also speak French, Portuguese and I am currently learning Swedish! My teaching style adapts to your needs. If you are a complete beginner, we will definitely go through the very basics in a very structured way (documents prepared by me, online content etc.). It is essential to have a solid foundation in the beginning in order to reach fluency at some point. If you already speak a little bit of Greek and your goal is to communicate in more ease with Greek people, then we can focus on the oral part. I know sometimes it might be quite difficult to speak in a language we are currently learning, but it is very important to practice, so most of our lessons will be in Greek. Our topics would include all that is useful and also some things from your own interests!教材
