Hello!
My name is Jivana, and I’m a Portuguese teacher with a degree in Language (Portuguese-French) and Literature.
I’m passionate about learning new languages, exploring the world around me, and immersing myself in different cultures.

I began teaching in 2015 during my internship at a Canadian bilingual school in Brazil. This experience marked the beginning of many rewarding opportunities in education.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual skills, needs, and interests.
I strive to make my classes as dynamic and engaging as possible to maintain students’ attention while encouraging them to keep improving and progressing in their target language.
I work with online and digitized teaching materials, including PDF files, articles, texts, grammar and vocabulary exercises, songs, and videos.
In addition to learning and practicing European Portuguese with me, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the rich cultures and customs of Portugal and/or Brazil.教材

I took three lessons with Jivana before my first trip to Portugal. She helped me learn some basic phrases like greetings, questions, and things to say at a restaurant or cafe. Jivana is very patient and encouraging, and uses a lot of great materials to help students learn, such as dialogues, listening to recorded conversations, visual aids, and cultural info. I had so much fun learning with Jivana and I plan to continue lessons after I return from my trip. Muito obrigada!
