Tomomi

Classes with Tomomi san are always very helpful and enjoyable.

Tomomi-San is patient and guides me through the chapters. I have to read, but she helps with unfamiliar or difficult kanji. By the end of each lesson, I feel like I have a good grasp of the grammar, and she assigns appropriate homework.

Tomomi-san is a great teacher! During the lesson, we spoke about my week, and then dove into the textbook. I had to read, and Tomomi took her time to explain each grammar point, and to go over the example sentences. Then, we did our own example sentences, and she led the conversation in a way that made me practice what we had learned. She also paused to make sure I understood each grammar point, and to answer my questions, even if they weren't directly related to the grammar point.

We use Quartet, and Tomomi explains the grammar, and then I read the example sentences. Then we make sentences using the grammar. She also gives me homework so I can practice. I get plenty of speaking, listening, and reading practice as well as writing practice from the homework.

Tomomi-San does an excellent job of making me read and speak Japanese, and kindly helps with kanji I don’t know, and phrases I don’t understand. She patiently explains grammar and gives appropriate homework.

Tomomi is very enthusiastic and patient. Even though this was the trial lesson and we had never met before, I was very comfortable from the beginning. We spoke in Japanese and I got to practice, and she explained her teaching methods, the textbooks we could use, and possible homework assignments. I am really looking forward to our next lesson.
