I’m Dr. Sara 👩🏫 — a professional Arabic teacher and literary critic with over 9 years of experience.
I hold a BA in Arabic Language & Literature 📖, two diplomas in Teaching Arabic and Educational Psychology 🧠, and a PhD in Literary Criticism 🎓. I am also certified in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (CCTAFL) from the American University in Cairo.
My research focuses on the psychological approach to Arabic novels, along with my interest in self-awareness, memory, and learning strategies 🧩. I have also published articles in the field of psychological literary criticism.

I really like this teacher! She communicates well and writes out all we discuss in a shared google document which is very helpful. She assigns small "homework" with helps me stay on track with learning and always goes over the previous lesson before our current, which is very helpful! She is very patient and kind and makes learning fun and comfortable!

Hello. My daughter has finished 11 lessons with DR Sara Mahmoud. The lessons were awesome, and I do happy with her progress. Before that my daughter doesn't know anything about Arabic language, but now she can read, write, understand and answer the common questions. Especially I would like to emphasize the qualities of DR Sara Mahmoud. She is honest, kind, open and experienced person. Dr. Mahmoud was very patient and direct with teaching, and I appreciated her insight very much! She explains clearly, she gives good examples, and she helps clarify one's speech as needed. Already I eagerly await the next lesson!
