Lisa

Lisa is a fantastic teacher and I highly recommend her lessons. My first lessons were conversation practice, and during these Lisa also taught me about Japanese culture which was very interesting. Each time I learned something new and was able to effectively communicate when I went to Japan a year. More recently I had been preparing to sit the JLPT N2 and again, Lisa has been amazing with helping me prepare for this. As I'd already had many lessons, Lisa already knew a lot of my strengths and weaknesses, and tailored the lessons to them. Whenever I made mistakes, Lisa was able to explain the concepts in a very easy to understand manner, including example sentences that were relevant to me, making it both fun and easier to remember. Thanks to Lisa's lessons I had full confidence going into the JLPT. Lisa先生、本当にありがとうございました！Lisa先生のおかげで日本語力や日本語の自信が増えてきました。まだまだですから、勉強続きます。

It’s been exactly a year since I started learning Japanese from Lisa!! What a wonderful journey it has been! Since I am doing lessons with her twice a week, not only has she also seen my Japanese improve tremendously but also funnily enough witnessed my major life events throughout the year! She’s very energetic with so much positive energy, patient, and always on time. Her English is very good and would kindly translate what I am struggling to say in Japanese for me which is extremely helpful and engaging as I can learn to express things and topics that I frequently say or am interested in and gain confidence in the language. She is also always well prepared and thoughtful! I highly recommend taking her classes!! 跟Lisa学日文已经一年了！每周两次的进度下真的学了好多。刚开始真的不怎么会说，但前几个月前我竟然在面试上说了几句日语 ！真的进步了好多！现在看些日文小说或听些视频也OK！老师超可爱又很有耐心，每次都一定准时！非常感谢Lisa老师 ！ リサさんが日本語を教えてくれてもう一年になりましたね！ Italkiでリサさんがであいってすごく嬉しいです！：D 毎週二回レッスンをしていますから、一年間いろいろな出来事リサさんも知りますね　笑　 レッスンはいつも楽しいし、たくさん話した。時間が早く過ぎった。 本当に本当にありがとうございました！！<3

Lisa san is a fantastic teacher. Doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner looking to start or already know some Japanese and want to improve or just looking for someone to help and practice your Japanese with, Lisa san would be a great help. She's very patient and empathetic. I was a complete beginner from the start, just know some simple katakana and hiragana. We started with just getting to know the basic and useful phase to learning grammar to be able to speak and understand Japanese properly. After 2 year with just 1 or 2 lessons a week, I was able to have conversations and utilized my Japanese effectively during my trip to Japan.
