I had a first lesson with Kaayathri. I thought it went very well. Kaayathri asked me about my reasons for learning. She explained the important concepts of verbs in Tamil. Her explanation was clear, and based on that we were able to make some simple sentences!

Kaayathri is very innovative with her students. She has many ideas to teach and with the help of photo session i imagined and spoke lot of things. Now I can notice how my speaking skills have chnaged in four days. Thanx a lot Mam.

Great lesson with Kaayathri! We learned many useful vocabulary words, including pronouns. Then we put simple sentences together using the new words. Kaayathri pointed out the differences in formality/respect. She also gave some helpful tips on how to memorize certain words, as well as helping me fix some pronunciation errors that I made. It was a good beginner class!

In my first lesson, Kaayathri introduced me to a core concept that serves as a foundation of the entire language, and immediately got to work on bringing clarity to the fuzzy knowledge I had in my memory. Kaayathri also suggested a lesson structure that suited my particular needs as someone who can understand the language but cannot express myself in it. Kaayathri is personable in her communication and methodical in her teaching style. She also creates a Word document during class, which makes reviewing the content after the lesson convenient. Whether you are learning Tamil from 0 or are rehabilitating it as a Westernized Tamilian, Kaayathri is an excellent choice. I could feel so much growth in just the first lesson alone. I look forward to seeing how much I can improve before visiting Tamil Nadu at the end of the year.
