Sheyla Bravo Guido

Sheyla is an excellent teacher who puts in a lot of effort into making her lessons engaging and educational. She is patient and diligent and has been able to cater and adapt her classes to what I needed and my learning style. She brings in a number of different exercises that make the classes interesting, fun and most importantly makes the lessons stick. I have attempted leaning Spanish multiple times over the last few years, but never made much progress. With Sheyla's tutoring, I am finally conversant in Spanish and also confident in my ability to speak with native Spanish speakers. I would recommend Sheyla to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish.

I had been learning Spanish for the last seven months and had hardly used this language in conversation until I met Sheyla in italki. I was filled with so much nervousness even before the lesson began. When she appeared on screen and opened up the lesson the atmosphere changed dramatically. She was able to control my nervousness with her charismatic touch, my anxiety soon diminished. As the lesson progressed I found myself speaking Spanish without any sense of fear even though there were a lot of errors. She was always there to capture my mistakes and to make corrections Through her encouragement and the touch of her charisma, I was full of confidence to bring my learning to the next level under her tutorship. A wonderful and amazing teacher who take pride in what she is doing and undoubtedly show great concern in her student progress, Te agradezco por ayudarme a Sheyla.

This month marks one year since I started working with Sheyla and I feel like my Spanish has greatly improved! I used to worry so much about making mistakes in conversations but Sheyla is so kind, patient when I get stuck, and incredibly easy to talk to that I don’t even worry about my mistakes anymore. I’ve learned so many new words and phrases through our conversations and have truly enjoyed being able to talk about a wide range of topics. She has also been such an encouragement when I’ve questioned my Spanish ability. Sheyla’s fantastic!
