Natural language without so much of Grammar I'm going to teach you Finnish or Swedish naturally without using so many Grammatical terms, Grammar can be very exhausting, so I keep it to a minimum.

As a teacher, I’m patient, structured, and supportive. I explain things clearly and adapt each lesson to your level, goals, and pace. I focus on helping you make steady progress and feel confident using Finnish. You can ask questions anytime, and mistakes are always welcome, they are part of learning. I aim to create a calm space where you feel motivated and comfortable speaking.

I’ve worked with private students, schools, and companies, and I’ve also written language books for Finnish learners. I also introduce students to Finnish culture, customs, and daily life to help them feel more at home. I personalize lessons for each student according to their needs and interests. I have teaching experience for Japanese students online and face-to-face, individual students and groups up to 11 persons in private language schools. I believe that speaking practice should be prioritized as early as possible in learning process. Using new words while speaking is a great way for memorizing them. I know how scary it is to speak in a language that you have just started studying. Don’t worry about making mistakes, we will practice at your space! I always tailor my lessons according to my students’ needs and interests, either it’s for applying for a school or work, for daily or traveling usage, or other. I am happy to accept both children and grown ups as my students, and I am comfortable teaching both beginners and advance students. I always maintain a positive vibe during the lessons, and I cheer you on during the moments when the Finnish verb conjugation gets overwhelming, or the Finnish words just seem too long :)

Having climbed the “mountain of fluency” in two foreign languages, I know exactly how hard and frustrating the journey can be, but I also know how rewarding and satisfying finally making it to the top is. To me, wrapping your head around a completely new way of thinking that often comes with achieving fluency in a language is one of the best feelings I know, and I want to share it with you. As someone with a strong background in science, my specialty is scientific communication and technical writing. I also think my experience in grappling with abstract scientific concepts has taught me to explain grammatical concepts and semantic nuances in a concise and easily understandable way.

As someone who has tutored pupils from all walks of life, from absolute beginners to advanced learners, I may be of help at any stage. My manner of proceeding during the lesson is to construct an image about my pupil's situation and provide advice. Although I'm quite familiar with grammar and other theory, I try to teach everything through context to make it meaningful. In that way learning is engaging and fun, and it's easier to wrap one's head around things. I value that the pupil enjoys the learning process and gets to freely choose the conversation topics.
