I come from a country, Switzerland, where there are three national languages and where confrontation with other languages than one's own is something that is integrated in one's daily life and in the culture in general. I lived in Berlin for a while and gave several german and french lessons during my studies in Paris. I am very patient, very calm, and I will encourage you to speak. I find that this is the best way to realize that you can master a language by correcting your mistakes. Understanding and integrating a language by practicing it is a very attainable goal and I hope that we can help you progress by having fun and learning together!

I also worked for the MimicMethod for a few years, where I was the Head of French Instruction and helped give specific pronunciation feedback to students. Later on, I also took lessons with a cinema accent coach and got acquainted with a more theatrical approach, which helped me be more versatile in my feedback. When I see one type of feedback doesn't work, I try another one. Each student reacts differently to different verbal cues, so I think it's important I can bring these different approaches to them, whenever needed :)

Aside from working on other tutoring sites, I have worked in a community of tutors and teachers in a french help center at my college, therefore my teaching is also inspired by individuals more experienced than me. I have also travelled quite a bit, and had to get by in languages I was not familiar with, so I know how to start building sentences quickly to be understood. These various experiences have had a big impact on my teaching.

I fell in love with foreign languages when I began to attend my high school. And from then on, I have never stopped practicing them. One of the things I love the most is teaching them to others.
