German through Stories & texts | Culture, history & geography | Beginners & Intermediate Level Hi, my name is Daniela and I can help you with conversation practice and structured lessons based on my own materials (short stories, non-fiction texts) and on materials taken from textbooks (general and some Business German ) In my courses, I will encourage you to speak without being afraid of making mistakes. However, I will address the mistakes you make and help you get rid of them. I'm an introvert which makes me a good listener and I'm also very patient. Please note that I only work with adults and that I do NOT offer exam or job interview preparation. Fun fact about me: I'm a huge Elvis Presley fan :-)

◾️Conversation Training for B1 - C2 (minimum requirement: B1) Teaching Philosophy ■ I strongly believe in constant and never-ending improvement through deliberate practice. To improve your speaking ability you need to speak a lot. ■ Together, we'll develop positive habits to facilitate continuous improvement through an iterative process. ■ Over time, you'll recognize patterns of errors and learn how to avoid them. ■ You'll become adept at using language naturally and fluently. ■ All these things will help you to build confidence. Confidence in your abilities provides the mental space to express yourself eloquently.

I hold a Master’s in Secondary Education (German, English, French) and qualifications in German as a second language. I’ve taught students of all ages for over 15 years. I teach Standard and Swiss German, focusing on real-life use, culture, and practical skills for Switzerland. I teach all levels and prepare for exams like Goethe certificates. German teacher with around a decade of experience and about 6000 lessons with 800+ students. German obviously is my native language, and I basically have a whole life of experience speaking English at work or privately. Russian is my 3rd strongest language, and although I have no certificates confirming that, I can teach you that language up to a pretty high level, as you can see from my intro video. Besides that, I am also very interested and knowledgeable in the field of linguistics and I can help you with pronunciation and accents on a semi-professional level by applying things like the IPA, speech training and logopedic practices. Having said that, I do not specialize in teaching children and I very much recommend looking for a teacher that is experienced in that field.

10+ years of teaching experience - offering German and Norwegian conversation lessons Hei og hallo! 👋 I'm Nadine – originally from Germany, based in Norway for 19+ years, teaching Norwegian and German for over a decade. On italki, I offer conversation lessons. We talk: about your day, your work, life in Norway or Germany, things you're curious about – and along the way you pick up natural phrasing, vocabulary, and cultural context that textbooks don't give you. My approach is conversation-first. Grammar comes up when it comes up – I'll catch patterns in the moment ("did you notice you skipped inversion there?") instead of running a fixed curriculum. If you want grammar drills or a written study plan, I'm probably not the right fit. If you want to actually use the language with someone who explains things as they happen, that's exactly what I do. After each lesson you get a list of the new words and phrases from our conversation – your vocabulary, not a generic list. With a lesson package, you also get a personal practice page with quizzes built around the grammar and expressions that came up in your lessons. I adapt to your level. Beginners are welcome too – but you need some basics to build on. Fast-learning A1 speakers and crosstalk (you speak your language, I reply in the target one) both work if you already understand a bit, but can't speak yet. I’m amazed by the human body and love sharing knowledge. Medicine is wonderful but challenging – especially in a new country. I’m here to lend you a helping hand along the way I want to encourage my students to speak a lot. My lessons are a dialogue, not a monologue. Explaining something yourself makes it easier to understand. Speaking a foreign language can feel uncomfortable at first, but practice in a relaxed atmosphere makes it easier. I have work experience in teaching business German and test preparation for all levels. And I follow polyglots because they have interesting learning techniques! In my lessons, I use videos with topics that the students prefer, because I think that we learn best when we deal with topics that we love to talk about.
