I have a Bachelors Degree in Teaching German and I am currently doing a Master’s of Education. During my work as a German tutor, I worked with children and adults and native and non-native speakers alike. I am a friendly, open-minded and patient teacher. My lessons are in a comfortable atmosphere and shall be a place where nobody should reason to be afraid of making mistakes (believe me I've made them all learning a foreign language as well).

In my own experience, if you want to learn a language, the most effective and fun way is talking with a (native) speaker. My native language is German but I also speak English and a little French and dutch. The German I speak is "hochdeutsch" which means it is the standard German without a dialect. We can talk about the cultures of different countries, current affairs or about art, music, literature, film and TV. This is a good way of getting comfortable in a language and of using words and phrases that are actually useful. We can look at a song together and think about the words. Perhaps you can learn the words of songs by heart for your homework in order to memorise useful expressions.
