In the beginning I taught people from East Asia, but today my students are coming from all over the world. I'm particularly interested in languages like Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Right now I'm trying to master Japanese. Understanding how these languages are structured gives me the opportunity to teach you German in a more understandable way. In addition, I can help you, to pass the TestDaF, which is the general German language test for foreigners, who want to start studying at a German University. I've also experience in preparing students for the DSH language test and the Goethe-Zertifikat.

Native German teacher, 9+ years of experience in the areas pronunciation, test preparation/ business ✔ If you are beginner, we will start with pronunciation first and then build grammar from there - that is the only way to sound native-like and avoid mistakes in the long run! ✔ If you are intermediate, I'll also give you a basic understanding of the German sounds to increase your awareness, with a special focus on the sounds you don't have in your native language ("sound gaps"). ✔ Throughout my lessons, I like to refer back to the individual sounds /aka "building blocks" of the German language - this has lead to great results for many of my students! ✔ I like you to find and correct your own (pronunciation) mistakes before I correct you (silent way approach)

Learning a new language is pretty cool and almost like getting a superpower. But I know from experience how scary it can sometimes be to talk in a foreign language. More often than not, people give up because they don't want to embarrass themselves by making a mistake. Which is a shame. Because mistakes are great. They show us where we can still improve. So, I'm here to tell you to never give up! It's worth to put in some effort even if it means to stumble along the way. Over time, you'll appreciate how far you've come.
