My particular area of expertise is in phonetics and phonology, so I can help you to master the difficult sounds of German so that you feel more confident when you are speaking. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt meiner Arbeit liegt auf dem Unterrichten von Kindern und Jugendlichen. Durch meine Erfahrung als Sozialarbeiterin habe ich viele Schüler*innen mit Neurodiversität (z.B. ADHS, Autismus-Spektrum-Störung) begleitet, die schulische Schwierigkeiten hatten. In dieser Arbeit ist es mir wichtig, jedes Kind dort abzuholen, wo es steht, realistische Ziele zu entwickeln, Stärken zu entdecken und Lernblockaden zu überwinden.

I was fortunate to recognize teaching as my vocation when I was in college, and l had excellent training in language pedagogy when I was accepted as a teaching assistant at Ohio State's graduate program. I am at my happiest and most fulfilled when I am teaching a language class, whether face to face or online (a modality in which I became proficient during the Covid epidemic). For years I have had excellent teaching evaluations from my students, whether in the classroom or in one on one tutoring.
