I’m a passionate community tutor with more than seven (7) years of teaching languages on every level I would like to give you the chance to discover the german language and culture. I gave english and german classes at a University in Colombia. Therefore, I have experience in teaching in a classroom, as well teaching online through iTalki since 2017. I do speak German, English, Spanish and a bit of Turkish, but I would consider the fourth language as a bit rusty.

As someone who used to stutter and dislike languages (and especially the pesky grammar), getting into intense-self-studies to improve my English became my origin story. I worked as teacher for English in my hometown for 2 years afterward, after acquiring a C2 certificate from Cambridge. This encouraged me to also intensely study and re-fresh the German grammar, phonetics and teaching techniques (didactic) before starting to teach it online full-time. (it included a lot of head-shaking, and I’m a native) Through that, and my pursuit to master art I don’t believe in inherited talent, but pursued interest. Everyone can, through dedication, practice and fun, learn to speak a foreign language.

Test preparation, beginners of all ages, scientifically & culturally interested advanced students. BEGINNERS: We will use the excellent DEUTSCHFUCHS learning platform to together solve interactive exercises and learn everyday vocabulary as well as grammar in easy steps. You will gain free round the clock access to your materials. ADVANCED STUDENTS: We will expand your vocabulary by talking/writing about everyday topics or specific issues of your choice, or by discussing short articles that we read before the lesson. EXAM/INTERVIEW PREP: We will be doing official practice exams together or prepare for and hold mock job interviews. Since my lessons are tailored to the needs of individual students, the clearer your idea of what you want to achieve in what timeframe is, the better :)

I always build my lessons on students' needs. As for tools I use, I like interactive boards and platforms. I do my best to make my students feel comfortable. As for connection, I prefer Skype but can easily switch to Zoom or any other app you like.
