Motivated and language loving German native speaker / Deutsch / English / Español I've spent much of my free time learning languages on my own, so I understand the challenges and frustrations that can come with self-study. That’s why I’m passionate about sharing my experience and helping others along the way—whether it’s by answering questions, translating and analyzing texts together, or simply easing the fear and nervousness that often come with speaking a new language. I'm genuinely excited to share my love for languages with people from all over the world and to support them in becoming confident, competent communicators in their target language and culture.

Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.

After studying German as ,,a foreign language " at LMU Munich, I emigrated to Colombia (Bogotá), where I taught German for 4 years at the Goethe Institute. During this time I continued my education and after 2 years I obtained the Grünes Deutsches Diplom (DLL Deutsch Lehrer Lernen). Since I am back in Germany (2 years) I have been teaching German at GLS German Language School in Berlin (I have also experience in Online classes)

My confidence in speaking a foreign language as well as my pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary increased incredibly. I lived about four years in India and a big part of my daily life there was to learn and live a language, where even the script isn't the latin one. My journey led me to discover my joy for teaching.
