Learning Danish is a challenge - but more interesting and fun with a good guide I taught over 6000 online lessons in Danish, one-on-one. I started teaching online 10 years ago. Before then, I was teaching English (one-on-one) in China. I passed a lot of long and short courses in teaching and studying techniques. I am supportive and patient, and very understanding, because I study a language myself :) With a well prepared student we change activity every 5 - 10 minutes. I give help with efficient studying techniques. I teach adults :)

Native teacher since 2018 with an MA in Danish and pedagogical training from Copenhagen University I've been working as a Danish teacher since 2018. I have a Master's degree in Danish language and literature from the University of Southern Denmark, and I am trained in second-language learning and acquisition from Copenhagen University. My lessons can focus on different aspects depending on your level and goals. For instance: - lessons for beginners, - improving grammar and orthography, - increasing general or specific vocabulary, - improving pronunciation and conversational skills, - improving writing skills and style (academic writing or business writing), - learning about Danish culture. I can teach both adults and children and I have experience preparing students for Prøve i Dansk 2 & 3 and Studieprøven. I use a variety of teaching materials and tools such as coursebooks combined with my own materials, texts of varying difficulty, an interactive whiteboard, flashcards and quizzes. I can also send short lecture notes after each class. As a person, I am very patient, and it is important for me that you feel comfortable showing me your difficulties and giving your opinion. I don't believe that grammar books and filling in blanks on worksheets is the way in which a language, or anything for that matter, should be learned. It is neither fun, nor in my experience particularly effective. Of course, as a beginner, some basic grammar is needed, but as soon as my students have enough vocabulary to start using the language in meaningful sentences and conversations, I seek to activate this language in my student in a fun and engaging way.
