FSP-Vorbereitung mit systemnaher Kommunikation I was born and raised in Germany. During my university studies, I took an elective called 'Integrationsmentoring', which inspired me to teach on italki. For my exam, I had to present a solution to integrate foreign specialists. My approach was to create medical German classes for doctors (FSP). Von Beruf bin ich studierte Medizinische Dokumentarin (Studienschwerpunkt: Medizin, Statistik und Informatik) sowie Wirtschaftsinformatikerin. Ich arbeite in der medizinischen Forschung an einem Universitätsklinikum. Es freut mich sehr, wenn meine Schüler ihre Prüfung mit Lob bestehen - besonders in Städten mit hoher Durchfallquote. Was mich von anderen FSP-Lehrern unterscheidet: - Ich programmiere die Eingabemasken für die Dokumentation im Krankenhaus, z.B. für verschiedene Arten von Anamnesen, und weiß, wie detailliert gefragt werden muss. - Ich lese routinemäßig viele Arztbriefe und erkenne bei Schülern, wenn Pflichtinformationen fehlen. - Mein Studium vermittelte medizinische Fachsprache gezielt auf ärztlichem Niveau. - Keine FSP-Bücher - laut Schülern oft zu oberflächlich für die Prüfung. - Mein Unterricht basiert auf echter Klinikpraxis.

My teaching style is very open minded and flexible. During the intro I find out what the students require and how committed they are to their goals. I adapt my style to theirs: with some students I will be more laid back and with the more ambitious and focused ones (my favorites) I will more actively plan ahead. Both will get links to their hobbies/profession/studies. i am known to be "living with my students" and rejoice at their success in reaching their goals be this moving to a German speaking country, taking the immigration to simply learning the language of Goethe and Theodor Fontane.

Since then, I had the chance to teach study preparation courses for international students at the University in Innsbruck and to do an internship as an language assistant at the philological faculty in Novi Sad, Serbia, for one semester. Currently, I am teaching German classes in a private language school as well as in the University of Salzburg.
