From day one we communicate in German and move on naturally. - In our trial lesson we can talk about your needs and wishes for your personal progress. - In our conversation classes we will talk about almost everything and how to talk about it. - In our exam preparation classes we will consistently prepare primarily the oral exams. Of course English is a transmitting language for us. Because sometimes is German not enough yet.

I have several years of teaching experience especially with children aged between 12 and 16. My aim is to make language learning fun and efficient for everyone focusing mostly on conversations about every day life topics. The most important thing for me is to take your fear away and support you to become confident speaking your target language. I'm calm and patient and try to correct mistakes at the end of the conversation instead of interrupting my students in the middle of a sentence since making mistakes is unavoidable yet essential if you want to become fluent in a language.

I hope I can help people here almost as much as I myself have been helped. Over the years, I have taught students of many different levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners — including Chinese students and native speakers preparing for their Abitur (Germany) or Matura (Austria) exams. These exams are vaguely comparable to the Chinese 高考 or British A-Levels. In my classes, I try to go beyond mere memorisation and help students develop a natural understanding of the language. Many grammatical rules make far more sense once one understands the distinctions they express in everyday speech. This is also the reason for my nickname, MrSemantic. I teach German with a standard accent (Hochdeutsch) and on a high formal level. At the same time, I am very happy to adapt lessons to the student’s interests and needs.
