I am a Japanese who learned Japanese literature in college. I also learned English in UCI. I graduated Japanese college in 2024. My major was Japanese literature. I also went to University of California, Irvine for 1 year so I can have a daily conversation in English. In UCI I joined a language exchange community and I taught Japanese to foreigner. I got my Japanese teaching license in June 2021. Because I have already finished the 420 hours Advanced Skills of Teaching Japanese Language Course. Additionally, I have already kept teaching Japanese online since a couple of years ago. I also have taught students who learn social welfare services as I am a social worker for 15 years. Our lesson will require us to speak in Japanese as much as possible. If you need to ask any questions in English, it's ok. But you should try it in our lesson! Improve your pitch accent, pronunciation, intonation and rhythm with me! I speak standard Japanese, used in the Kanto area, including Tokyo. I can teach you Japanese pitch accent if you're interested. I'm sure that will make you sound more natural. I've been making videos on that topic, so you can watch them and learn about the pitch accent beforehand or afterward. I am looking forward to seeing you in my class! If you want to learn the Kansai dialect or other dialects, I'm afraid I can't help you because I'm not familiar with those accents.

I completed all the requirements of Japanese Languages Teacher (420 hours). And I have Bachelor of Commerce and I’m qualified for a financial planner. And I passed the English proficiency test (Eiken) grade 2. I strongly believe that a good portion of any lesson should feature at least some speaking practice and so I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel you can make mistakes. I encourage you not to be afraid to make mistakes, because when you learn from your mistakes, that is how you progress. I will do corrections throughout the lesson or at the end of the lesson, depending on the pace. I'd love to help you fulfill your dreams and achieve your goals :)
