Hey, I'm Sarah from Germany. I've lived in Austria since I was 14 but I don't have an austrian citizenship yet. I love everything about Japan, so I spent a year there and maybe I'll go back some time. I've been playing the piano for some time and like to make music in general. After I finished school, I'll probably go to college to study medicine. I would really like to get to know you guys here and am very curious about different cultures and stuff :3

    Tatsächlich gibt es keinen wirklichen Unterschied (glaube ich). Alleine ist Umgangssprache für allein, wobei allein wahrscheinlich öfter benutzt wird (z.B.: "Alleine die Tatsache, dass..." klingt nicht so gut wie "Allein die Tatsache, dass..." (the very fact that...)). Und da "gern" kürzer ist als "gerne" benutzt man gern auch öfter im Alltag. "Gerne" kommt jedoch ein wenig höflicher rüber. Ich hoffe ich konnte helfen :0

    Unlike other languages, you kinda do it at the back of your throat, so we don't really use our tongues. It's hard to explain... Have you ever tried gargling just without water? It's a bit like that I guess.

    Hey, I'm also practicing reading right now. I recommend reading one of the harry potter books, if you're just getting started on kanji and stuff. They all are books designed for elementary school kids to read, so they got a lot of furigana in them! Other books with furigana are mangas, but that gets expensive after some time when you get faster at reading. I also tried it once with children's stories but let's be honest, it's just not interesting to read. Novels are really hard to read, but if you're already good at kanji, I love to read manga novels(I don't know what to call them, it's just manga written as novels)! It's easier often because if you know the manga you already know the plot for most (my favorite manga novels are the ones of Gintama). Hope I could help you!

    こんにちは、私はサラです。２７年３月から日本にいるけどもうすぐオーストリアに帰らなければなりません。すごく寂しくなりますよ。日本語はまだあまり自信を持っていないので帰国してからitalkiで勉強を続けたいです。今高校一年生だけれど、オーストリアでわざわざ一年を繰り返すことにしました。直接二年生になったら一番下手な教科の数学で本当に困るはずだから。日本は佐賀県に住んでいます。まだ帰ってきていないから最後の一ヵ月ぐらいなるべく楽しく過ごしたいんです。佐賀はほとんど何もないけど。てか、たぶん大人になったら日本に帰りたいので、日本語の勉強はこれから頑張ります！よろしくお願いします。

    To be honest, I don't listen to German music that often but I can try to name you some of the artists I know; Cro (hiphop) Alligatoah (rap) Juli (pop) Sido (hiphop) Glasperlenspiel (pop) /nie vergessen/ Andreas Bourani (pop) Mia (pop) /Hungriges Herz/ Revolverheld (pop) Marteria (hiphop) Fettes Brot (pop/hiphop) Tote Hosen (pop) Die Ärzte (pop) /Junge/ */.../ are songs I recommend when I don't know many of that band or just this one I really like Sido and Cro. You can also just go on You Tube and type in 'German Top 100'. Most of it are English songs but there are always some German artists in between!

    I've been learning Kanji for a year now and I totally agree. My handwriting also has changed, as well as my choice of writing utensils. It's a completely different feeling to write in Japanese than in Romaji right? To be honest, when writing English for example, my handwriting has become so messy that I myself sometimes wonder what I wrote...
