It was sunny today. After dusk, Mom took MeeMaw and me out for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Last night, I bought Dad a T-shirt as his birthday present. But, alas! It said “Good grief, Charlie Brown!” on the front. The word “grief” really triggered Dad’s nerves. He couldn’t stand the word, even though we all know the phrase doesn’t literally mean anything about grief. It’s all about MeeMaw’s situation, right? However, just for the sake of his mental health, I had tossed that T-shirt right away and brought him a new Mickey Mouse one. He’ll definitely accept this one. But anyway, I can’t blame him. I should have thought more deeply before making the purchase. After all, now Dad is the most sensitive one at home.

There are many things we can do but only if we are constants. We should reduce the meat consumption and make better and healthier choices. We should also avoid the plastics and start to use more durable and recyclable materials, such as steel and glass. Another important thing we could do is to do the separate waste collection everyday. We need to reduce the impact of the factories on the environment, make more sustainable choices in every area of our lives.
