It was a bit overcast today, with the sky looking low and the air feeling stuffy. Out of curiosity, I tried an IELTS interview simulation online. It was a disaster! As an observer, it seems like just a chitchat between two people, but when it was my turn, I went awkwardly silent. I managed only yes-or-no answers to most questions. Thinking back, I could have shared so much more, but I just froze. Unlike in writing, there was no time to organize or revise. Some questions felt almost philosophical, touching on things I’d never considered—like, "When confronted with formidable challenges, what strategies do you employ to recalibrate your mental state and confront these obstacles?" Honestly, I didn’t even know what recalibrate meant, but of course, read in context right? My dad nearly laughed aloud upon hearing it. Honestly, I’d rather they’d asked me to recite the periodic table. Overall, I’m far too passive in conversations.

You konw that it's really hard to blance a mouth and a stomach. There are a variety of dishes around the world, but one's honey may be another's drug. Many people are always attracted by Chinese food, because of its various flavours. Among them, spicy food is many people's favourite, but a mouth's revelry can be a stomach's nightmare. Though hot pot is really tasty, I won't recommend you to enjoy it every day. Plain flavour food needs to be appeared on our tables. However, flavor is also important for us. I have heard one man complained that all the Italian dishes tasted like tomato. So, wo have to blance our mouth and stomach first, then choose the easily cooked food to be on the top of our recipe. As for me, fried eggs and a few pieces of bread is a really great meal for me, but I always enjoy a hot pot on weekends with my friends. I usually invite my friend come over home to enjoy a hot pot. All the ingredients are really mouthwatering, includes sliced beef, vegetables, meatballs, rice noodles etc...
