This morning, I woke up with a sore throat. It was hard to eat breakfast because it hurt when I swallowed. At first, I thought it was just because of dry air. But then I noticed that many of my friends also had sore throats and raspy voices. Maybe a cold is going around. Today, I drank a lot of water and tried to rest as much as I could. I will go to bed early tonight to help my body recover. I really hope I feel better tomorrow. Being sick during summer break is the worst!

REMEMBER vs REMIND – What’s the difference? These two verbs are easy to mix up, but they have different meanings: ✅ REMEMBER – when you keep something in your mind or don’t forget it. You do it yourself. Examples: I remembered to turn off the lights. Do you remember her name? I can’t remember where I put my phone. ✅ REMIND – when someone or something helps you to remember. Use it when someone makes sure you don’t forget. Examples: Please remind me to call her later. That photo reminds me of my childhood. My phone reminded me about the meeting. Quick tip: If you need help not to forget, use remind. If you do it by yourself, use remember.

Today, I met my high school friends. We were all in the dance club, so we decided to dance together for the first time in a while. I taught them the rock dance I did at the school festival last year. It was so fun, and we all really enjoyed it.

Recently I'm looking forword to the coming of age ceremony. In Japan, girl who became 20 old in this year wear Furisode kimono January. I'm also still undecided about attending the class reunion. Many seniors and people around me say it's a good idea to join, so I'm thinking about it seriously. I'll talk it over with my friends and make a decision soon! I really want to take lots of photos in my Furisode kimono at different places. Since it's a once-in-a-lifetime event, I want to enjoy it to the fullest and make unforgettable memories. Right now, I'm also trying to decide on my hairstyle for the day. I'm torn between wearing it up or leaving it down. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and I still can't choose! In the end, it's up to me to make the final decision, so I want to keep thinking it through until the very last moment and make sure I have no regrets about my coming-of-age ceremony.

It was stormy today; the downpour was intense and unsettling. During the day, Dad taught me about simple machines. They're not as simple as they sound, honestly. I still don’t understand why a movable pulley doubles the effort distance, but as long as I can calculate the output force using the formula, I'm good. Later, my bestie neighbor came back to town and knocked on my door. She brought me a souvenir badge from her favorite anime, she loves animations just as much as I do. I feel like we're going to have a lot of good times ahead.
