This week, I ended up getting sick. It seems to be the cold that’s been going around recently. Since I don’t usually catch colds, I thought I would be fine, but I let my guard down and ended up with a pretty high fever. It had been a long time since I’d had a cold this bad, so it was really tough. Even going to the hospital felt like a challenge, and waiting for the test results felt incredibly long. It made me realize how lucky I am to be healthy on a daily basis. I’m feeling much better now, but I still have a bit of a cough, so I hope I can fully recover soon and hang out with my friends again. It’s been getting colder lately, so please take care of yourselves. I’ll make sure to wash my hands and gargle well so I don’t catch another cold. Thank you for reading.

For example, people used to singing songs at a KTV with friends, but now at home with an app. People can do anything wwith their cell phones except eating and having a haircut. Most poople like playing video games on their phones, others like watching videos one by one. Everyone is deeply attracted to their smart phones. People keep their eyes on their phones wherever and whenever. In an elevator, at offices or walking on the sidewalks, you can see many people laugh and focus on the screens without caring about anything happen around. Each morning, when we wake up, and get used to picking up our phone to do some certain things, I know that today will begin with something fun.

The Importance of Small Talk in American Culture In United States culture, small talk is more than casual conversation — it is a social skill that plays a key role in building trust, connection, and professional relationships. While in many countries personal conversations begin only after a relationship is established, in the U.S., light conversation often creates that relationship. Small talk in America serves several important functions: 1. Building Rapport Quickly Americans value friendliness and openness. Short conversations about the weather, weekend plans, sports, or travel help create a comfortable atmosphere. These exchanges signal approachability and social competence. 2. Professional Networking In business contexts, small talk is not a waste of time — it is a strategic tool. Before meetings, interviews, or negotiations, a few minutes of informal conversation can reduce tension and establish mutual respect. Many professional opportunities begin with casual dialogue. 3. Showing Politeness and Social Awareness Engaging in small talk demonstrates emotional intelligence. It shows that a person understands social norms and is willing to participate in them. Avoiding small talk may sometimes be interpreted as coldness or disinterest. 4. Creating Inclusivity Because American society is culturally diverse, small talk often acts as neutral ground. Topics are usually non-controversial and safe, allowing people from different backgrounds to interact comfortably. For international students, immigrants, or professionals working with Americans, developing small talk skills can significantly improve social integration and career prospects. It is not about speaking perfectly — it is about showing interest, warmth, and engagement. In the American context, small talk is not “small.” It is the foundation of connection.

I have a conference about my circle’s activity with seminal members. We made the place which can express our thinking during conversations. Recent year, people who feel disconnectedness have been increasing by improving SNS such as X and Instagram. If you have lots of followers, you may receive bad affect to your mentality because you compare your life and others happily one. Continuing this custom, you may be disappointed in yourself, and you can not live your life. Therefore, we made this community for making people to have the power that they survive this complicated society with capacity of expressing their self. There is the place that members can talk about their interest such as music, sports, overseas and about politics. Most Japanese people can not talk about politics with their family and friends if one of them likes doing that. There is no one to reject the content of member’s interest each other. You can grow your expression up by changing and installing others’ talking and point of view. Moreover, you will also equip the confidence that you can show your closer aspect of your important feelings. However, we are facing the serious problems that it is difficult to correct the members of this community. That’s because we are not showing the concrete value which most people can understand easily. Understanding and exposing own real feelings to others is so fear because we are afraid of negative reactions. Please give us advice to make this community better!
