❌ Don’t say: Teşekkürler yemek için (sounds unnatural)
✅ Say: Eline sağlık
Although, simply "teşekkür ederim" (thank you) is okay to say it. If you wanna put a smile on the cook's face, you say:
ELİNE SAĞLIK 🙌
It’s warmer than just saying “thanks”.
You’re basically saying: “Your hands did a great job.”
Examples:
Yemek çok güzel, eline sağlık.
(The food is delicious, thank you.)
Anne, eline sağlık!
(Mom, thanks for the food!)
