Indeed, it is reasonable, to some extent, for some people to assert that the government should prevent a language from dying out. In the first place, they think that a language is an integrated part of a culture. If a language dies, the culture where people speak this language will disappear. As a result, we may live in a world without cultural diversity. Another reason why they support the government making efforts to preserve dying languages is that saving an endangered language can contribute to the development of the economy, to be more precise, the development of the tourist industry. This is not difficult since a traditional culture in which people speak a minor dialect can often attract thousands of tourists each year and generates a tremendous amount of tourist revenue.
