전문 강사In Spanish, we use the conditional tense to talk about what someone would do in an imaginary scenario. This structure often appears in questions like ¿Qué harías…? ("What would you do…?") and answers using verbs like pondría, compraría, hablaría…
- How it works
To ask about a hypothetical action, use:
¿Qué + conditional verb + para + [goal]?
To answer, simply state what you would do:
— ¿Qué harías para mejorar la alimentación?
— Pondría impuestos a los alimentos con grasas saturadas.
"What would you do to improve diet?" → "I would tax foods with saturated fats."
Complete the sentence: ¿Qué ______ tú para reducir la contaminación?
haces
harías
hiciste
habrías hecho
