The ¨Joropo llanero¨ is one of the traditional music in Venezuela which has several types but the most representative is the one that uses the next musical instruments: harp, cuatro (it is a kind of guitar but smaller and with only four strings, that's where its name comes from) and maracas. This musical gender's source comes from a mix of Spanish culture, African culture, and Indigenous culture. Their musical themes tell about the experiences, legends, and traditions of worker people who live on western plains mainly.
