Anyone experiencing a problem with the website?

I am a very active user of the ITALKI community but during the last 48 hours, whether I use chrome or Firefox, it is incredibly challenging to read comments because it takes forever for the website to load. Today, I had difficulty posting a discussion and the only time it allowed me to post is if I write Filipino as the language, when clearly it was written in English.

I think it's quite poor for a company the size of iTalki to have their website broken for this long, and to relay no information to the community on what is wrong and when it will be fixed.

The following is simply my best guess - purely speculation.

italki has been having problems with all of their coding changes since they began changing the website and designing it to work on multiple platforms.

The problems we are experiencing are not problems created at our end, i.e., not the browsers we use, not our internet connections, etc.

The problems, most likely, are being created by italki's programming code and most likely related to their removal of the classic site.

All the changes italki has made in the last year or more should have been tested offline, using special programs that are designed for testing websites without subjecting the users to the predictable problems resulting from code changes.

I'm not an IT person but I am fairly confident that the problems originated from the italki website program.

Glad to hear it's not just me. Most pages won't load at all, in classic Italki or the new version, and regardless of what browser I use. Occasionally I can get a page to load by switching between the old and new versions of the site (but I can never predict which version is more likely to work!). Sometimes a question or discussion page does load, but there's no text -- or the discussion post shows up, but none of the comments are visible.

If it's happening for everybody then presumably it will be fixed at some point, I guess...

Yeah, the classic and www sites have been loading really badly all day. I don’t think it has to do with the language — it seems more like it’s just randomly choosing not to load. The teacher site, however, is working fine. Sometimes I wonder if agents from competing services have infiltrated the technical team. (Not to mention the design team….) Oh, well, only 47 more hours left until the start of the workweek in Shanghai….
