Beauty or brains ,which is more important?

I am fortunate enough to see a lot of attractive people. However, I am more drawn to appreciate a beautiful mind. In a room of people full of beautiful faces, the only thing that will make you stand out aside from a good aura, is your ability to converse intellectually. If you let me choose between a man with good looks and a man with intelligence, I will choose an intelligent man. However, as well all know that the world does not work this way, people are drawn to "good looks" rather than substance and a great personality. I have seen subtle changes though. In beauty contest or modelling endeavors, the one's with the "vibrant" personalities become more successful. I think that "good looks" can only make you successful to a certain extent but if you are smart then you have higher changes of a career with longevity written all over you.

About the glasses comment. My glasses have super powers, they make me instantly super intelligent and they also tend to make me invisible.

They also do this wonderful thing where I can see.

I really don't see how glasses have anything to do with beauty.

It’s more acceptable to say that you are attracted to intelligence and not physical beauty, but the truth of the matter is that both are important, and I think that’s how most people feel. You might not be attracted to conventional beauty, but surely you take into account (at least to some degree) someone’s physical appearance when looking for a romantic partner.

I also think that, just like with physical beauty, we aren’t all attracted to the same kind of intelligence.

There’s a misunderstanding. It was Barry criticising your topic. Drasvi has been supporting you. He has nothing against the topic and nothing against you marketing yourself by posting frequently. If you want to fight back against criticism then address Barry and not drasvi.

Beauty is a genetic lottery which is of no use when we are threatened by a terrible natural calamity that could extinct us as a species. Scientists, engineers and doctors would be able to help us collectively rather Instagram models and beauty pageants. So brains win! period! :)

Using the language helps with language learning. It does not matter what topic you’re using it to discuss. It’s good to discuss topics that you find interesting, so that you associate the language with things you enjoy. A lot of people enjoy discussing Florian’s questions. If you don’t, you are free not to partake.
