Irish: Are these the correct relative & discourse related forms of ceannaigh? == D. Rel. == Seo an fear a cheannaigh na capaill. This is the man who bought the horses. Seo an fear a cheannaigh na capaill dom. This is the man who bought the horses for me. Seo an fear nár cheannaigh na capaill. This is the man who didn't buy the horses. Seo an fear nár cheannaigh na capaill dom. This is the man who didn't buy the horses for me. == I. Rel. == Seo an fear ar cheannaigh a mhac na capaill. This is the man whose son bought the horses. Seo an fear ar cheannaigh mé na capaill dó . This is the man for whom I bought the horses. Seo an fear nár cheannaigh a mhac na capaill. This is the man whose son didn't buy the horses. Seo an fear nár cheannaigh mé na capaill dó . This is the man for whom I didn't buy the horses. == Dis. == Dúirt sí liom gur cheannaich an fear na capaill dom. She told me that the man bought the horses for me. Dúirt sí liom nár cheannaich an fear na capaill dom. She told me that the man didn't buy the horses for me.Also, is this correct? Seo an fear ar cheannaigh a mhac na capaill dó. = This is the man whose son bought him the horses. This is a little confusing because the relative clause includes both a "whose X" phrase and a "for HIM" phrase. Hmmm. :)

That's all correct (except that you seem to be slipping into Scottish Gaelic with the spelling "cheannaich" instead of "cheannaigh" in the later examples). "Seo an fear ar cheannaigh a mhac na capaill dó" is also correct.
