Great job! I just added some commas and punctuation. We use a comma between parts of a sentence when both parts contain a subject and verb (ie are complete sentences themselves, what we call: independent clauses).
I also changed “was” to “started.” “Was” is absolutely correct, however when we use “then,” telling a story about a sequence of events, we use the past simple tense. There is an immediacy implied by “then” that does not align with the “continuous past tense.”

to keep some food in her bowl, after that I wasn’t able to go back to sleep.
I end up watching youtube video about plants. I have few plants at home but I
don’t know how to properly take care of them.
